Clark's beliefs about his role in the classroom. Mr. Clark says he wants the class to feel like a family that supports each other and leads to success. This attitude implies that Mr. Clark wants his students to see him as a friend who can be trusted; however, Mr. Clark understands that his true role is to be a teacher first and friend to the students second. This is shown when his class disrespects him, and even though he told his students that he is their friend, when they were not listening to him, Mr. Clark laid down the law and told them that there would be punishments if acting had not happened. Don't stop. This is one of the most realistic events I noticed in the film, because while many teachers want to be on friendly terms with their students, most teachers recognize that they are a teacher
