Judging is something people do almost every day without meaning to. In the book To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, many people are judged on a daily basis based on rumors and beliefs. Judging people can be the worst act a person can do based on the victim's race or their choice to isolate themselves, as shown to Tom Robinson (an African American) and Boo Radley (a man who stays locked up at home) because the the consequences of judging are unspeakable rumors, ostracism of that individual, and false accusations against someone based on their race. Many rumors are made up and believed by people who in turn make the person seem like someone they are not, such as the rumors about Boo Radley being a horrible person. When Jem, Scout and Dill talk; Dill wants to know what Boo Radley looks like, Jem provides a brief description of Boo based on words he hears from people who have come in contact with Boo.
