Managed Care Organization A managed care organization is a collection of clinics, doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers that come together to provide healthcare to people who sign up for services . In many cases, managed care organizations operate and are referred to as healthcare provider networks. Managed care organizations are made up of healthcare experts from different fields who enter into an agreement to offer healthcare services to members. Once a member enrolls, all of their health care needs are covered by managed care organizations. Access to care outside the organization is limited.
