We have the right and moral obligation to euthanize our beloved pets when they are in pain and suffering, because we are not morally obligated to provide the same options to ourselves and our loved ones who do they have no quality of life? Euthanasia is not something to be taken lightly. It is the end of a person's life. These are good things that come from euthanasia. The good thing is that the person who receives medically assisted suicide (euthanasia) no longer has to suffer. Finally they will be at peace and will not suffer. Anyone suffering that much pain under the right circumstances should have the right to physician-assisted suicide. “The Compassion Argument,” “Proponents of euthanasia believe that allowing people to 'die with dignity' is better than forcing them to continue their lives in pain.” (CARE 2010) However, it is not okay for people without an incurable disease or unbearable pain to commit suicide. It would be taking someone who didn't deserve to die. Euthanasia means good death, it is the process of ending a person's life to free them from an incurable disease, unbearable pain or irreversible coma. According to ProCon, euthanasia has been legalized in three US states, Oregon, Washington and Vermont. Montana also legalized physician-assisted suicide only with a court ruling. Oregon was the first to legalize medically assisted suicide on November 8, 1994, Washington was the second on November 4, 2008, Montana was the third on December 31, 2009 and finally Vermont on May 20, 2013. There are 39 states that have legalized physician-assisted suicide on November 8, 1994. laws prohibiting physician-assisted suicide. Three states, Alabama, West Virginia Massachusetts and the District of Columbia ban medical care... middle of paper... something more toned down in countries like Italy, Poland and Spain, where the Roman Catholic religion remains. strong. Whether or not to support euthanasia is a very important family and personal decision that should not be left to doctors or other adults but to those most important to the situation at hand. Before causing euthanasia, a person must consider the situation. There are many circumstances in which euthanasia is a reasonable and responsible choice. Each case is different from another.
