The following document will go into detail about the New York Children's Health Project. It is a health association based in New York that is dedicated to the health care of children who do not have access to basic needs. This association was founded in 1987 and has now acquired units working in different locations throughout the United States. The mobile healthcare it provides has been very successful in the country. Case Study: Launched in 1987, the New York Children's Health Project or NYCHP was a visionary project that Dr. Irwin Redlener brought to life and wanted it to target those children who were in need of health services. While the doctor was working in pediatrics at Denver Children's Hospital, he decided to take some initiative when he learned about VISTA or Volunteers in Services to America. From that time, Dr. Redlener began to dedicate his services to different places. He then started his CHF (Children's Health Fund) initiative focused on pediatric care for children's health. CHF is a specific fund that carries with it the objective of helping unfortunate and homeless children. This foundation has worked hard to build such a strong financial support system for all its programs. They were able to bring together four different sources to help generate funds for their programs: individuals, corporations, congressional aid, and government health insurance programs. These programs and groups organized by the foundation are almost in all parts of the country. There are numerous MMCs (mobile medical clinics) that support CHF, which are dedicated to providing services in areas such as medicine, mental health and dental care. “Many of them have been serving since the foundation's inception, while some...are central to the organization's medical goals. It works on the concept of medical home, where patients are treated in a homely manner. They also keep necessary records for patients if they need to return. These technologies will enable your organization to address these challenges: Maintain electronic records to improve health care for children Adequate training and safety threat detection process in higher risk areas Decrease disparities in pediatric asthma care Create networks online neonatal intensive care and record maintenanceBuilding HIT infrastructure for children with significant healthcare needsWorks CitedChildren'sHealth Fund.
