According to the book “Learning Framework”, on page 170 it states: “The point is not simply to address a question like: Which career is best for me? Is abortion immoral? Does God exist? What should be the role of women in the family? – but rather critically examine the evidence and hypotheses advanced in support of different positions on the issue before reaching a final conclusion.” (Atkinson, 170) Using this technique has helped me in class and in my personal life because it helps me step back and think about all situations instead of assuming that things should be done or said in a certain way because I think it's right. This led me to the next thing that helped me become a better critical thinker, which was rationalization. I had to learn to rationalize, sit down and think before responding.
