Bullying affects everyone, however the severity of bullying increases with children who come from poorer backgrounds (Stopbullying.org.). The relationship between bullying and rich versus poorer children is striking. Children are placed into various social classes, which puts more pressure on our youth to fit in and be part of a clique. This type of pressure causes a negative impact on our youth. Bullying leaves a lasting mark on a person's life. The psychological impact that bullying has on a child stays with them. As your child grows into adulthood, they may have trouble building relationships because they lose trust in others. The consequences of bullying can also affect their ability to find a career due to lower self-esteem due to bullying. In many children, increased bullying causes lower academic scores which can lead to a child dropping out of school, also reducing their career opportunities.
