Promoting a sense of school connection can be done in many different ways and the ideas are endless because every school is different. Some strategies that could increase school connectedness are to provide more educational opportunities for families. This will allow families to be more involved in their children's education and be more willing to understand the material they are learning. Having a family involved in the educational process will help the child be more willing to learn and want their family to be involved. Sometimes parents have difficulty helping their children at school or being involved in school because they don't understand how to help. I think weekly or bi-weekly workshops for parents would be a very helpful way for students and parents to feel more connected to their school and have a positive influence on their education.
