With virtuous ethics, we try to look not at what makes a person good, but we look at what makes a person virtuous (Mosser, 2013). To be considered a virtuous person one must look at the act and decide whether the act constitutes immorality for the act a person is doing (Mosser,2013). In dealing with virtuous ethics in pornography, many people think that women who earn a living from acting in pornography are courageous and strong people, courageous enough to take part in what others perceive as wrong. On the other hand, many people may consider the actions of adult entertainers to be wrong. The idea is that sexual relationships should be based on mutual love and unseen by the outside world. With this line of thinking women involved in pornography will be viewed by many as a degrading situation for women (Gubar, 1987). These people use their opinions and beliefs regardless of the evidence, arguments and justifications of women who take part in films, photographs, Internet materials or on television (Mosser, 2013).
