Fast food advertising, lack of outdoor activities, and decreased parental control are all factors that contribute to childhood obesity. Many of the food choices these children make will leave long-term effects on their health and well-being. Bottom line, all healthy food options need to be advertised so that kids see more of them rather than in fast food ads. There is also a need for children to have more opportunities to play outside and participate in outdoor activities. Once again, parents also need to be more involved in their children's lives, ensuring that they and themselves eat well, enjoy the outdoors, play outside and get a good amount of exercise. Finally, with more publicity from health food industries, improved outdoor activities, and more parental involvement in their children's lives, we can all put an end to childhood obesity
