I was rushed to the children's hospital for potential appendicitis. While I was in the hospital, I saw several children suffering from cancer. Even though this horrible disease was taking over their lives, they seemed to be the happiest children I had ever seen. Not only were they full of joy, but so were the nurses. They knew each child on a personal level, played with them and sang with them. They inspired me to want to become a pediatric oncology nurse. I hope I can take care of children and make their days brighter, no matter how terrible their conditions are
