Leadership is an art that evolves over time. My experience has allowed me to acquire the key principles that make me a leader. I recently became president of the Key Club at Denver South High School. A self-funded group, providing students with leadership and public service opportunities. It provides students with life experience and allows their leadership skills to grow. As President, I coordinate and organize events that allow members to serve the community. With a very strong team, we are able to carry out our leadership duties. It was late October, as we were adjusting to our new roles; we were entrusted with a compelling project called Kids Against Hunger. This project required a great deal of preparation and organization. I began by researching the project further and learning more information before presenting this project to my officers. Kids Against Hunger provides meals to children around the world suffering from malnutrition and starving. Our goal was to pack a quarter of a million meals in two days.
