People rushing around with a sense of urgency and leisure towards their destinations, the succulent scent of delicious food floating gently in the air, city lights bouncing from building windows against the backdrop of the sun setting. This is a scene in Tokyo, Japan, and given the ability to visit any place in the world, Tokyo is at the top of the list. I would like to travel to Tokyo because it is one of the largest, most technologically advanced, most exciting and culturally rich cities. The first reason why Japan intrigues me is its immense size, from urban to countryside landscapes. When you think of Japan, you usually think of the capital. Tokyo is the capital of Japan and one of the largest cities in the world. Tokyo is made up of 1,359 square miles of urban cities. One could only imagine the things they could have done and seen in such a vast area. I'm an adventure-loving person and the chance to get lost in one of the world's greatest cities is an exciting prospect. This may vary from person to person, although this is a personal interest of mine. The feeling of setting out to explore a foreign city is an immense combination of emotions. Emotions that include fear, anxiety, excitement and joy. It's a feeling I had while abroad in Korea and I longed to feel that feeling again. The feeling is difficult to explain in words. it's a sensation that you should try to understand. for a moment I might be on a train to Shinjuku, Tokyo's party prefecture, and end up in a backwater town on the other side of Tokyo. I could even go shopping in the youth fashion capital of the world, Harajuku, and before I knew it it could be a ghost hunt with a bunch of people in an alley... middle of paper... everything from a series of surveillance shops at the baseball game. Tokyo, Japan, the number one place on my list to visit before I die. I miss the sights, sounds and atmosphere of this great city. It's another thing to visit a country so different from your own. The experience itself is probably one of the most rewarding feelings you'll ever experience live. Along with the chance to spend some time in such a big city, full of adventure around every corner, excitement at everything you do and see, amazement at the technology you get to play and experiment with, and right up to the rich. culture you will experience and learn. A culture completely different from ours. I can only hope that everyone takes the opportunity and is willing to explore and learn about places and people in the world.
