As an Arab (Muslim) living in the United States, I fully recognize what it means to be a member of a minority group. However, I am quite intrigued by the idea of studying Chinese Christian subculture in the United States. This project will involve studying existing literature on a certain subculture, namely the Chinese Christian community in the United States. In most cases, subcultures are close-knit and members like to associate with members of their communities; understandably because of the need to belong and find closeness with each other. However, Christianity among Chinese immigrants in the United States brings up the idea of today's assimilation, religious conversion, and so on. To ensure that this project is completed successfully, there will be several methods of information gathering in addition to the study of existing literature – by experts in the field. In particular, there will be interviews with members of the studied subculture to gain first-hand information on the group's experiences in the United States.
