Robotics and artificial intelligence are the way of the future. Imagine sitting down at work and your colleague is a robot, not just a robot but one that resembles a human being, it seems a little far-fetched but as predicted by the National Intelligence Council (NIC), a US government think-tank United States and research group, technologies will be advanced enough to take over low-skilled jobs by the year 3025 (Lohr, Steve). Generations beyond these times will find it normal to talk to computers just as Siri on the I-phone has become part of our society. With adequate support for emerging technologies, we can have intelligent transportation networks that run as efficiently as factories (Noor, Ahmed K). “Our children and grandchildren will think it is completely natural to talk to machines that look at them and understand them,” said Eric Horvitz, a computer scientist at Microsoft's research laboratory. (Lohr, Steve) The presence of robotics and artificial intelligence in society is increasing significantly every day with the rise of technology. Born in Petrovichi, Russia, in late 1919 or early 1920, he emigrated to America with his family when he was three years old and grew up in Brooklyn, New York, Issac Asimov, considered one of the leading writers in the science fiction genre , the perspective of advanced societies on robots is enormous. (“A Robot”) Issac Asimov created three “laws” for robots; a robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to be injured, a robot must obey orders given to it by humans, except where such orders conflict with the First Law, and a robot must protect its existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
