Waiting for Godot begins with Vladimir and Estragon near a tree. Vladimir is more dominant in the relationship between men. Estragon follows Vladimir's orders. After a while, Estragon wants to leave, but Vladimir opposes, saying that they must wait for Godot. Two men enter from the bushes: Pozzo and Lucky. Pozzo is Lucky's master. They are passing by while Pozzo is taking Lucky to the fair to sell him. He explains to Vladimir and Estragon that Lucky has served him for the past six years. As they continue to wait for Godot, Pozzo offers to let Lucky perform. However, no one is impressed by Lucky's performance. Pozzo and Lucky leave and a little boy appears to Vladimir and Estragon. He says that Mr. Godot will not come that night. The boy, however, assured that Mr. Godot would be there the next day. The first act ends with Vladimir and Estragon seeking refuge. The following evening Vladimir and Estragon are at the tree. Vladimir tries to discuss the previous evening with Estragon, but Estragon does not remember the night. He doesn't remember Pozzo ...
