There are many ways or opinions in which one could interpret the theme of more refined femininity, and indeed the appeal of femininity is profound. As women we symbolize suffrage and courage by recognizing our potential. All women have a role to fill that varies over the years as culture evolves. Today women are treated and seen with respect and equality. This was not always the case, however, during our nation's early years, a small number of hard-working, hard-working women competed to gain women's rights. Because of this, every woman, regardless of her race, can vote, speak publicly, make independent decisions, hold government positions, and work outside the home. Women use these rights as a demonstration of power. Over the centuries, women have demonstrated their passion to be listened to, accepted by society and have freedom of rights. An intellectual example took place in May 1869, when Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton formed the National Woman Suffrage Association.
