Today diamonds are one of the precious jewels on Earth. We find them in mining caves, which are then mined and sold for millions of dollars. But we ask ourselves: where do diamonds come from? This is the story of how an ordinary person can create jewels more precious than gold with a power given by the gods, but at the same time save his life. Long ago there was a village called Alevale. Alevale had more than 5000 citizens, most of whom are wealthy and live in large palaces. However, one family was poor and did not live in a large villa. This family had 16 children named Zinon, Zoe, Mathias, Alexander, Kalina, Ioanna, Iris, Marika, Gus, Takis, Sotiris, Kiki, Martha, Michail, Angelik and Tryphon, and they all belonged to Adamatine and lived in a dirty house in the village. Everyone who passed their house knew how poor Adamatine's family was. Adamatine tried his best to earn a living so he could buy food and drink for his family. One day Adamatine went bankrupt. She and the 16 children were without food, drink or money and knew they would soon die. They started asking for help, begging for money, food and drinks from the other villagers, but none of them decided to give them their belongings. Adamatine and her 16 children discovered that all the people in the village were too greedy and selfish to share food, drink and money, and so they only had one thing to save them. Adamatine and her 16 sons marched to the Statue of Zeus and prayed to the gods for food, drink and money. But nothing happened. They prayed some more, but no god came. It was getting dark and Adamatine thought that the gods would not come, that all this was useless and that they were ... middle of paper ... d all the jewels they could find and put them in their bags. Happy to have found the jewels, they returned home. Adamatine awoke and realized that her children were still in the caves. She thought to herself how stupid she had been to leave them all alone in the caves in the dark and decided to look for them. When she went out, however, she saw all her 16 children returning home with bags on their backs. Adamatine couldn't believe that her children had found the jewels, but when they showed her the bags, they were full of jewels. Adamatine jumped for joy, relieved that she and her 16 children could live rich and happily ever after. When news broke that Adamatine and her 16 sons had found jewels, the king was happy to see such bright and sparkling jewels and decided to call the jewels by Adamatine's name "diamonds", and that is how diamonds were created..
