Introduction - Human Resources The company we have chosen as the group to discuss the courses is Sainsbury. Sainsbury is a UK-based food retailer that developed interests in the financial services sector with the founding of Sainsbury Bank. The company employs 97,300 staff who operate supermarkets, convenience stores, internet home delivery services and Sainsbury's Bank. The company is one of the largest and oldest supermarkets in the UK. They were able to develop themselves through different strategic methods and competitiveness knowledge. In order for the company to achieve high results, its employees continue to help the company develop. Additionally, I was interested in looking at the HR side of the company to see how they operate. This is the division of the company that focuses on employee-related activities, including recruiting and hiring new employees, employee benefits, retention, and other ties together to form human resources. Internal and external factors have an influence on the business which play several contributions to help the company be successful and in an advantageous situation. Therefore, it is important to understand both the internal and external environment for the company to have strong business growth. As the HR team wants to create a positive working environment, they have created many opportunities from temporary jobs, full placement jobs and graduate jobs to work experience placements, which provide comprehensive training and security guidelines for developments and future protection. External Business Environment The external business environment includes everything that is outside the control of...... middle of paper...... I'm the best. It is unacceptable for workers to arrive late and work not carried out to standard will then be referred to HR to identify a solution prior to disciplinary action or following dismissal. It is also important that colleagues do not provoke any conflict that could lead to potential crises. Therefore, in general, keeping an eye on employees is not only necessary for development. In conclusion, a company's human resources sector is a vital part of growth, success, employee development and more to help the company thrive. The HR team controls training and development and this is the face of the company. The employees. Moreover, having done it correctly, they will bring success to the company. And as Sainsbury aims to be the best in its market, it will need to continually develop to be the consumers' choice.
