Topic > Case Study on Excessive Alcohol Consumption - 1175

The money raised goes to Life Education, an organization that educates school students about health and medications. This campaign is a fantastic opportunity to highlight the growing dangers of binge drinking and alcohol abuse among young Australians (lifeeducation, 2016). The "Don't turn a night into a nightmare" campaign was created on March 10, 2008. The purpose of this advertisement is to show people what can happen when someone has an excessive amount of alcohol in their system. The reference target is adolescents aged 15 to 17; young adults aged 18-25 and parents of children aged 13-17 (drinkingnightmare). Some Australian states have created a new "lockout law". A 3am lockdown applies to all late licensed premises. The aim of this campaign is to protect patrons and the community from alcohol-related incidents. After 3am alcohol is still sold, but loud entry or re-entry is not permitted (The State of Queensland, 2015). The lockout law is a good law because it reduces the number of people in clubs and bars, however people will drink more before going into town and will drink more in the hours before the lockout law is enforced. I think the lockdown law should also include a time when alcohol is no longer sold so that people stop drinking it all
