If you watch movies these days you know that you will definitely see some kind of violence, be it a murder, a beating or some kind of cruel act. Now, every time you watch TV, you'll probably see a commercial promoting a new movie with a catchy title like "Scream" or "Fear." Whether you think these movies are necessary or not, production companies know they will get viewers and that's why they keep making them. The other day I was watching a movie, with my lovely girlfriend of course, called "The Matrix". .” The title caught our attention as we browsed the aisles of the movie store looking for something cool to watch. Since my girlfriend likes violence in movies and thinks it's unreal, it seemed like a pretty good choice. The back of the box showed nothing of violence and the description gave no hint of shooting or murder. The beginning of the film was fine, but after about half an hour, as soon as we could blink, one of the characters pulls out about twelve machine guns with the intention of killing the entire city, I guess. After firing all 10,000 bullets into the ten boys he was trying to kill, my girlfriend immediately stood up, walked over to the VCR in disgust, and pressed stop before I could utter a single word of protest. As you can see, there's not much you can do these days to avoid watching a movie that contains even a little violence. Because violence attracts us?...
