Laurie PelosiLiberty University OnlineBiblical WorldviewMarch 31, 2014We can't really be sure why God chose the specific time in history and the demographic locations He used to create the universe. It should come as no surprise as we read Genesis which shows us the rich history of many years ago and the controversies that still arise today about religion and land in the Middle East. Religious controversies are still on the rise in these countries and with the ease of travel to the United States many have been influenced by other theologies. This can be confusing to many people, which is why it is important to read and understand the Bible. Genesis 1-11 sets the stage for all biblical truth because it assumes that God is the creator of all things. We know from the Scriptures that God wanted us to participate in his creation and glory. He chose to reveal himself in his own way. These scriptures describe God as righteous, gracious, loving, wrathful, and holy. This should be the beginning of our introduction to our biblical worldview. As broad as this term is, it seems we should think of it as a standard of how we personally see our world, our beliefs, and matters of the heart. There are still such challenges between evolution and biblical thinking, science will consider that all machines are not divine, we know only God is divine, we are humans with sinful potential. People today are increasingly looking for answers; they want answers to what happens after they leave. Is God the real truth? Without the wealth of God in their hearts, we can understand why so many struggle and fall into self-harm and other addictive problems. Will science or the Word of God have to scrutinize one's soul? This should n... in the middle of the paper... d. Genesis teaches us about human identity, civilization, the natural world, and human relationships. God's message is clear, we must take the Bible seriously and not just a piece of literature but also a factual knowledge of how we started. We see how God worked to create this world and how we have grown to ruin this creation. Too often we forget how wonderful the world is and take everything for granted. By reading Genesis we can truly learn how imperfect we can be. We all take it for granted that the world will be here as we know it, but this is just something we tell ourselves, an invention so we don't have to face life's bigger questions. We have become a hardened nation and comfort seems to only come in church. We must make a personal commitment to asking God for guidance and to have exchanges with people who want to learn more about Christianity.
