1. Identify as many leadership attributes as you can and provide a brief applied explanation on three of these attributes. Self-Confidence Confidence in one's personal judgment, ability, and power also differentiates leaders from followers. McWilliams and Williams (2010, p. 233) state that confident leaders are “more assertive and assertive and are more likely to build others' confidence in decisions.” This is critical for effective implementation of decisions. Additionally, confident leaders will not hinder or stop when a mistake occurs. Even when the decision turns out to be wrong, they see them as a learning opportunity, often building trust in the process. Consequently, increasing self-confidence should improve an individual's leadership and job performance. Integrity According to Maxwell, JC (1993), integrity is undoubtedly the most crucial element of leadership. Without this, leaders will fail to influence those who follow them. Leaders with integrity build trusting relationships between themselves and followers by being sincere or non-deceptive and showing high consistency between words and actions. ELITE (2014) states that leaders need integrity to communicate honestly, openly and effectively and also to motivate people to adapt to environmental changes. Therefore, all leaders are suggested to lead with integrity. It will not only benefit the followers, but also have greater success in their interpersonal relationships. Good listener. It's hard to be a great leader without being a great listener. Simonton (2012) states that “listening is absolutely critical to creating a work environment in which employees decide for themselves to become highly motivated, engaged, f...... the leader is in control of the leader-follower relationship .2) Transformational Leadership (The NSW Fire Commissioner) Transformational leaders increase followers' awareness of the importance of certain outcomes, while increasing their confidence that those outcomes can be achieved (Anti Essays 2014 ). Transformative behavior was evident in the situation involving the NSW Fire Commissioner. Griebel emphasizes the importance of the situation while increasing confidence in the team by reassuring that goals and objectives will be achieved. It can be seen that this is the type of leadership that a company seeks to have within its organization. In fact, one researcher argues that when a company makes a commitment to its employees to create a responsible workforce willing to increase employee satisfaction and productivity (Miller & Lee, 2001, p.. 164).
