Technology has evolved significantly over the centuries. Machines have helped man facilitate his work, fight in wars, travel, health and different aspects of life. Telling the time, keeping up with friends, finding information, and more has never been easier with the creation of your computer. The computer has evolved over the decades to become the necessity of many people. Students used computers, laptops and tablets to help with their academic assignments. Having such technology seems to be de rigueur in recent years. The Macbook Air and Ultrabooks are one of the new laptops of 2013. The former was first introduced on January 15, 2008, while the latter was introduced in October 2011. From the design aspect, the Macbook Air has remained faithful to its usual design with a silver aluminum case. The keyboards are chiclet style, which uses keys with a small square design. The click pad reacts fluidly to all swipes, taps and gestures. On the other hand, the design of Ultrabooks is quite similar to the Macbook Air with keyboards and the like; however, the Ultrabook's trackpad is not as sensitive as the Macbook's clickpad. The Ultrabook's screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 which is clearer than the 1440 x 900 that the Macbook puts out. Ultrabook touch screen laptops are up to date with any current mobile device. The Ultrabook's operating system, which is the Windows 8 version, has its advantages. The biggest advantage of Windows is that it provides ready-made solutions that can be implemented by virtually anyone who has ever used a computer (Jennings). Moving from Windows 7 to Windows 8 brings a change to where the Home screen shows programs in different sized tiles. Tiles will provide the user with easier access to programs by providing...... middle of paper ......ng which may slow down the processor. The Macbook really does have great battery life, however if the user were to damage the battery it may not be easy to replace it. Technology will continue to advance throughout the days. There are no other ways to end technology, because man will always find a way to find the easiest way out. Technology is change, but people don't like change. The Macbook Air and Ultrabook both have many differences, but they bring out the best in each other. Through speculation, it seems that business people would opt for the Ultrabook, as it has its multitasking ability, and Microsoft offices that seem to benefit the most from Windows 8, also its ability to read most office documents compared to the Macbook Air. The Macbook is aimed at CGI artists, designers and editors. However, both really rely on the person's preferences, biases, and peer pressure.
