Evolution of Healthcare ITThe evolution of Healthcare IT lacks greater technology that would allow medical professionals to access necessary medical and patient records and also be able to update, record, review and better understand patient needs in order to execute and provide excellent customer service or patient satisfaction. Additionally, since paper records are so easy to come by, being able to protect patient privacy data allows the healthcare organization to be more secure as a whole. Sending important information can sometimes take up to a week for the recipient to receive the information, but with healthcare IT you simply click a button, the information is transferred and received. Before today's technological advances, doctors wrote orders and prescriptions by hand. This could cause many errors and compromise patient safety. With today's technology, many processes are completed on a computer, leaving less room for human error. Evolving to share data more quickly in the healthcare world was absolutely necessary. Doctors, nurses, doctors etc. they are becoming more educated than ever. Their intelligence only improves if they receive the appropriate information more quickly and in a timely manner. With the advent of technology so fast, the use of the Internet and wireless devices has put power at the fingertips of each of us. A few years ago I lived in another state. My new family doctor couldn't see all my medical records. During each upcoming visit, my new doctor had to continue to learn more and more about me. Not that I moved back to Ohio, all my medical records were easily transferred with me. The out of state doctor took notes with the ease of a table...... middle of paper......s) be very easy. . Even though they don't seem to collaborate, without that feedback I don't think we would be working as hard to simplify the system. Once we can make them a little easier to use, I think they'll start to recognize the benefits. If there are no electronic health records, it will be difficult for current doctors to make decisions about your health because they are missing important information that would make it easy for them to treat you, electronic health records have been a wonderful step forward in improving our healthcare system.
